1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, not a government office. It does not keep official files, submit requests, file court papers, or perform an official criminal-history check for a visitor.

The content identifies public record holders and search channels. Those sources include the Chippewa County Sheriff, the 91st District and 50th Circuit courts, the Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center (CJIC), and the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry (PSOR). Some pages also display search tools supplied by outside companies.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Anyone using the website agrees not to:

• Violate a federal, Michigan, or local law through the website
• Threaten, stalk, intimidate, or harass a person with information found here
• Use the content for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated decision
• Enter restricted systems or attempt to bypass access controls
• Send bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools through the pages
• Interfere with website operation or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked service must not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. Such conduct is forbidden and may violate criminal or civil law. The warning is especially important for Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry information. The Michigan Sex Offenders Registration Act, MCL 28.721 et seq., supports a public-safety registry; it does not permit vigilantism or misconduct directed at a registrant or household.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Chippewa County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not prepare a consumer report, credit file, or official background check. Its advertising partners are not presented as sources for screening an applicant, evaluating a lease, setting an insurance rate, or deciding credit eligibility. Content from the website or a linked tool must not be used to:

• Make a hiring, retention, or termination decision
• Evaluate a tenant, lease applicant, or housing request
• Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
• Determine access to a license, permit, or government benefit
• Carry out any other decision controlled by the FCRA

A lawful official check should be obtained through the Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center or an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider, based on the purpose and consent rules that apply.

5. No Legal Advice

The material is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a pending charge, conviction, warrant, Michigan set-aside, or automatic Clean Slate process applies to one person's facts. A licensed Michigan attorney can provide advice about a specific matter.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are supplied "as is." No promise is made that:

• Any item is complete, accurate, or current when viewed
• Access will remain continuous or uninterrupted
• The pages contain no defect, error, or security weakness
• An outside search tool will return a complete or correct match

Criminal records can change after charges, dispositions, corrections, sealing, or a Michigan set-aside. Publishing delays and omissions are possible. Nothing displayed here is an official statement from the Chippewa County courts, Sheriff, Michigan State Police CJIC, or another government record holder.

Links may lead to the Chippewa County Sheriff, Michigan courts, state agencies, legal-aid resources, or outside search providers. A visitor who follows a link enters a service controlled by someone else. Chippewa County Criminal History does not control that service's content, fees, privacy practices, terms, or availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chippewa County Criminal History is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the website, its content, or a linked service. This limitation includes harm tied to a decision based on such information.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold Chippewa County Criminal History harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your website use or a breach of these terms. This obligation includes related costs and reasonable legal fees.
